Abstract

Portrait of the Catalan historian Josep Fontana (Barcelona, ​​1931 - 2018), through a biographical approach to his intellectual training, political commitment, academic practice, research background and editorial work. Through this biographical journey we want to emphasize the coherence of his historiographic approach, his professional career and his influence beyond the strict historiographic field.
