Abstract

Diamond open access democratizes scientific knowledge by eliminating costs for authors and readers, funded by public institutions. It promotes equity in knowledge distribution, benefiting researchers and developing countries. However, it faces financial challenges that require public support for its long-term sustainability and expansion.
