Pancreatic pseudocyst occurs about 6.3–15% of cases of acute pancreatitis, can lead to infection, fistula or bleeding. Endoscopic intervention is achieved by implanting a stent between pancreatic pseudocyst and gastric lumen (cystogastrostomy) or duodenal lumen(cystoduodeostomy) with a success rate of approximately 86% to 100%.
We present a 51-year-old female patient with pancreatic pseudo cyst secondary to complication by acute pancreatitis of biliary origin. It is decided to lead to endoscopic management for endoscopic cystogastrostomia, a procedure was performed without complications and symptomatic resolution of the patient.
Endoscopic cystogastrostomy is an effective and viable technique for the management of pancreatic pseudocyst because it offers both efficacy and low morbidity, compared to the invasive surgical approach.
