SEQUENTIAL OR DEFINITIVE BARIATRIC SURGERY

Authors

Abstract

Bariatric surgery in morbid obesity is the best treatment to maintain the weight loss achieved in the long term. Despite being the best recognized treatment, a percentage of obese people reap weight in the long term or do not achieve the proposed objectives. To improve the results of surgical treatment, it is essential to associate a follow-up by a multidisciplinary team with endocrinologists, nutritionists and, if possible, with psychologists.
